Information is the best tool to share and to spread. Here at Chaitanya Sravanthi we believe that Prevention is Better than curing. So we conduct a lot of awareness camps on various diseases and Social Causes to aware the people before it hits them. As we all know Visakhapatnam is one of the fast growing city in terms of development through industrialisation. But there are worst hidden affects that causes a lot of suffering among slum residents. Due to environmental pollution and ill habits are causing cancer at port city. Cancer is treatable if found earlyu and deadly if not. Cancer is called as RAACHAPUNDU in telugu means it is a king of tumors and found rarely in few people in the earlier. Now cancer is one of most deadliest disease among middle and productive age groups.

Cancer awareness and screening camp: On the eve of world women’s Day, Chaitanya Sravanthi in collaboration with Lions Cancer Hospital conducted a cancer awareness and screening camp at Relliveedhi in Visakhapatnam. Honourable MLA Mr. Dronamraju Srinivasarao addressed the meeting and Ms. Shirin Rahman advised the participants it is important to women to get screening for Breast cancer and cervical cancers as these two types are high in women. About 200 women received the services of screening for cancer and Doctors from Lions cancer hospital gave advices on how to take care of these risks and some prevention methods.

As per the medical experts, cancer can be found even in a healthy looking people and it is important to get cancer screening for those who cross 40 years. If cancer found in early stage can be treatable and some sort of simple precautions will prevent us from cancer risk. Although the risk of developing cancer can be greatly reduced by avoiding risk factors, not all cancers are preventable.

Even a healthy looking person can have the risk of Cancer. Tobacco is the prime risk factor for mouth cancer and lung cancer in youth. It is been observed that there are more no of breast cancer and cervical cancer found in women. The best medicine to cancer is prevention. Sensitization and free screening camps will help the poor and down trodden.

Most of the men are getting the risk of lung cancers, mouth cancers and abdominal cancers.
If it is women, the risk of breast cancers, mouth cancers and cervical cancers are highly observed.
