Mutyalamma lives with three children in old city slums in Visakhapatnam. Her husband was an acute alcohol victim. Five years back, her husband has collapsed to death after consuming excessive liquor. When he was alive he was giving very little money for family consuming most of his income for alcohol. At that time she started saree sales with investment of Rs.5000.00 at home. After he died she spent her capital for ceremony expenses and could not continue the business. Knowing this situation through volunteers, Dr. Shirin Rahman, has provided Rs.20000.00 loan. With this amount Mutyalamma reinstated her business with improved variety and quantity of clothes. She started living comfortably on the incomes and was taking care of her 3 children. After she repaid this loan Mutyalamma availed Rs.40000.00 more loan from Gruhalaxmi Credit Society (branch of Chaitanya Sravanthi) and established a shop in a busy junction. She developed tie-ups with suppliers in Kolkata and expanded her business. Now she gets regular income of Rs.600.00 to 800.00 per day and during festival season she gets maximum income. She performed marriage to her daughter with a teacher.
