Anti-Corruption Rally

Students, Intellectuals, women and members of political parties took out huge victory rallies in the city on Sunday, minutes after the announcement of withdrawal of the indefinite fast by the Anti-corruption movement crusader, Anna Hazare.

Hundreds of women under the aegis of Chaitanya Sravanthi held a rally to mark the Anna Hazare’s victory in the city from fishing harbor to sub-marine museum on the beach road. Mr.EAS Sarma, Convener of Forum for Better Visakha flagged off the rally while Dr Shirin Rahman organized the rally.

There was jubilation among the citizens and people chanted slogans and hoisted flags making the atmosphere festive. The rally culminated into a meeting at Gandhi Statue where several leaders of the party garlanded the statue.
