A STORY OF PAVANI

This is the success story of R.Pavani who belongs to jyothi mahila podupu sangham (under MACTS) of Chaitanya Sravanthi Organization. Her story shows us how a woman can uplift her family if she empowered. Even though Pavani is not well educated, she managed to run her family with the little earnings of her husband who works as a driver. She thought she could do nothing to improve the economical condition of her family as a woman until she met a SHG member of Chaitanya Sravanthi Organization.

In January, 2000 she happened to join in a SHG of CHS at Chilakapeta area and her life changed dramatically soon after with the little savings she did. Later she took a good amount of loan from MACTS* and she brought a transport van to her husband. Still she thought of doing something on her own and approached Dr. Shirin Rahman, the President of the CHS with a great intention to find something for herself. Dr. Shirin Rahman guided and supported her to get a job training to work in star hotels. Later Ms. Pavani was placed in a three star hotel named Budhil Park in the city of destiny as a house keeper. Now her total monthly income from the transport van and her salary together are around 30 to 35K. Her two sons are now studying in a reputed school and college.

Today Ms.Pavani is very much proud to say that her life has been changed with CHS and in return she is contributing her part in CHS actively.
