Chaitanya Sravanthi has taken the opportunity to spread awareness and possible disfunctions of the thyroid in women and children On the occasion of world Thyroid day, which is observed on 25th of May, every year.

Abbott India Limited is one of the fastest growing Pharmaceutical Company in India. We took the initiative to get partnered with Abbott India Ltd to conduct an awareness and Thyroid testing camp at Kotaveedhi. We drove good no of women to this camp to aware them on Thyroid. Why Thyroid camp:

Thyroid diseases are common worldwide. In India too, there is a significant burden of thyroid diseases. According to a projection from various studies on thyroid disease, it has been estimated that about 42 million people in India suffer from thyroid diseases.

This review will also briefly cover the exciting work that is in progress to ascertain the normal reference range of thyroid hormones in India, especially in pregnancy and children.

On 9th May, 2010 we conducted an awareness and testing camp on Thyroid with the collaboration of Abbott India limited.
Chaitanya Sravanthi has conducted about 60 Medical camps like Eye camps, Multi specialty camps, Cancer Detection Camps, Gynaec Camps, AIDS Detection camps apart from Thyroid Testing camps.
